Another muggy rainy day was upon the cities of Earth as Slug was relaxing just outside of the city limits. The intense spar that had taken place earlier between Slug and Yamcha had left the alien tired and simply wishing to lay in peace under the shelter of a large willow tree. Slug was completely oblivious to the city’s news headlines reeling over the recent murders and fires that had happened to a house and factory in town that day. The alien to Earth was beginning to feel a little uneasy as he began to notice more and more people staring at him as they passed by. Knowing that Earth was a relatively accepting place to aliens and human-hybrids, Slug found it somewhat odd that everyone was giving him a long second look. Thoughts began to race through Slug’s mind as he munched on some fruit he had collected earlier… “Do I smell? Is this willow tree sacred or special? Did that master from the martial arts dojo call the cops over what happened?” All these thoughts and others ran through his head as he pondered reasons as to why everyone was staring him down. Deciding to not let it get the best of him, Slug gathered his belongings, threw his cloaks over himself and headed out into the rain.
Strolling down the streets of the city Slug passed by a few stores and shops until he noticed a newscast playing in the window of an electronic store. Stopping to watch the headlines he absorbed the shrilling news, “Dozens killed in two fires that are considered linked to one arsonist who is considered to be armed and dangerous. Few details of the suspect have been released but nearby surveillance cameras have leaked information to the public leading us to believe the arsonist is not of human genetics. He is a possible alien or even a demon believed by some. The suspect has dark or green skin and anyone with information is encouraged to report to the authorities.”
The news sunk deep into Slug’s thought process as he pondered to himself… “This could be bad…” Wheeling around, Slug intending to walk away from the front of the store and seek shelter but he was held back by a growing crowd circling around him. Amongst the ramble of the crowd he began to sort out some of phrases more and decipher them more clearly, “Oh my god, is that the guy on TV? It’s the murderer! That’s gotta be him, he’s got green skin and everything!!” Slug began to panic a little bit, noticing that they were mistaking him for the description given by the arsonist in the television newscast. The clamoring of the crowd was beginning to turn more and more angry as words turned more violent and the standoff began to turn into an angry mob. One of the ringleaders of the mob stepped forward and began to speak.
“Hey! Asshole! Yeah you, you green freak! What the f**k are you doing back here? I guess it’s true what they say, you idiot criminals always return to the scene of the crime. Did you murder my friends back at that house you burned down?! You aliens are all the same, show up here and just start causing problems.”
Slug was startled but held his ground. “No, I-“
He was cut off from speaking his word as one of the angry mobsters smashed a two-by-four over Slug’s back causing him to hunch forward and wince for a second, surprised by the assault. Realizing that there was no time to reason with the mob he sprung into action. Slug rushed forward with a diving lariat on to the ringleader of the mob who had just spoke. Driving the angry man into the ground Slug grabbed him by the throat, squeezing until he could no longer breathe. Dozens of people standing by piled on top of Slug and his assailant trying to pull the alien off of their peer. Slug held the man’s esophagus closed until he had all but choked the life out of him and slammed his head into the ground. Enraged by what had transpired Slug all but lost control and began pummeling on the crowd. One after the other he threw the angry mobsters off him, throwing elbows and kicks to anyone within in striking distance. A few of the men jumped on him at once, attempting to tackle him to the ground but Slug jumped into the air forcing all of them off of him as he stalled in the air momentarily to survey the situation. Already Slug had laid waste to a dozen or two people and they were still coming after him. It was time to end this charade. Slug landed to the ground, grabbing two men by the head with one hand each and cracking their skulls together. He turned, firing eye beams towards the crowd scaring and injuring them. Shouts of, “Holy shit, that freak!” and “He’s got laser beams!!!” rang threw the air as the crowd scattered. Slug was the sole being standing in the street as about thirty men lay in the streets dead or dying.
Rain poured down over Slug and the bodies he stood amongst. He spit to the ground and whispered softly, “You wanted this. This was the only option you gave me. I didn’t commit those crimes, but I don’t feel sorry for what has happened here today.” He laughed realizing that everyone alive had scattered and the only people who would hear his words wouldn’t make it through the night to tell anyone. Quickly, Slug took off down some back alleys to escape the scene and gather more information before he made his next move.
Realizing he needed to keep his identity hidden and keep away from crowds of people, Slug draped his cloak and hood more and did his best to keep his head down. Knowing that most aliens don’t drink alcohol, he decided his best option to get out of the rain and avoid detection would be to post up in a local dive bar. Slug found a small quaint bar in a relatively rough neighborhood in town that looked pretty barren with customers. Slug ducked into the bar, quickly ordered a drink and a snack to keep up appearances as he snagged a back table at the bar. Keeping his head away he used his hearing to listen in on the developments being relayed over the newscast on the TV across the bar. Forgetting his place, Slug took a sip from his foamy beverage and rescinded with a bitter reaction. “Ugh, how do these humans drink this stuff?” He thought to himself. News of what had just transpired only a few hours early in the streets outside of an electronic store were ringing over the news. Now they had pictures as well as witnesses to that scene and they were linking it directly with the crimes that had happened with the arson crimes at the factory and the house.
“I guess it is only natural that they would draw that conclusion. I’ve got to be more careful, now I am being blamed for all of these crimes and they have my picture and everything. Oh boy… What have you gotten yourself into this time…?” Slug thought to himself, silently as he sat at the bar alone.
Suddenly, a large man approached him from the side. Slug had noticed his presence but pretended not to notice as he walked up on him. The man’s voice rang out, “Something wrong with your drink, buddy? I haven’t seen you touch it once.”
“…” Slug sat silently, not wanting to lift his head up to reveal his face from underneath his cloak.
“What’s wrong? You cold? Take your coat off, drink your drink. Want a smoke?” The man lifted a cigarette to his mouth grasping it with his lips as he extended his hand with a cigarette out to the stranger.
“I don’t smoke.” Slug replied in the most inconspicuous voice he could manage.
“Well, it’s been a rough day for everyone around here. Come on, lighten up. Have a smoke!” The man playfully pushed off the stranger’s hood pushing the cigarette towards his face as he realized what has just been uncovered. “Oh my, Y-y-y-you’re the one, that-that…”
Slug stood quickly, grabbing the lit cigarette out of the man’s mouth crushing it in his hand. The few others in the bar stood to their feet and Slug put his arm around the man who had approached him, holding him in a tight headlock. The others in the bar soon realized that the green alien holding the bar patron in a headlock was synonymous with the suspect portrayed in the newscast.
A few men stepped out from the other dark corner of the bar. A straggly looking bunch who looked like they were some sort of vigilantes or cowboys. The leader of the group stepped forward, pulling out a large rifle and aimed it straight for Slug and his hostage. The leader spoke, “Well, well, well. Today is our lucky day boys! We step into a dive bar for a cheap drink and stumble across the freshest most high paying bounty in the entire city! You’ve done a lot of shitty things mister, and now we are about to bring you in.”
Slug chuckled as he squeezed his hostage’s neck tighter. “Come on now guys, can’t we figure out a safe solution to all this? What are you guys, cops? You don’t want to see this man die do you?”
“Heh, cops.” The grizzly man spit to the ground of the bar as the other 4 men surrounding him pulled out their guns, aiming them at Slug. “We’re bounty hunters, boy! I could care less if that idiot dies, I just want you dead or alive so I can get that money for your head!” Shots rang out as Slug down dipped behind his hostage holding him up as a human meat shield as the bounty hunters rang shot after shot in the bar towards their prey.
As the bounty hunters emptied their clips in the bar the dust and smoke began to settle and they walked slowly over towards their target. They walked over and found the hostage’s body laying on the ground, a bloody mess ripped to shreds by bullets and shrapnel. However, the alien bounty was nowhere to be found. One of the members of the crew turned to the leader and asked, “How’d we miss boss?!” The last words he spoke as an Eye Beam from Slug ripped through the back of his head. The members of the bounty hunter crew hit the deck. But quick as lightning the foreigner was upon them. Slug jumped on the first, punching his head so hard it doubled back off the ground leaving him motionless. The others were scrambling to their feet trying to escape the bar as the slowest one was grabbed by the back of the neck and pulled back into Slug’s clutches who wrapped his arms around his neck and in one quick motion snapped his neck. The leader and one remaining follower raced outside into the streets and Slug gave chase. Running at full speed Slug caught up to the last remaining follower, jumping into his back and pinning him to the ground. The leader was scampering off but Slug shot two Eye Beams into the back of the Leader’s kneecaps sending him face first into the ground. Slug stepped off the one he had pinned down and then stomped his head like a grape into the pavement. Slowly he approached the Leader who’s hamstrings were still burning from the Eye Beam and the stench of burning flesh and linens filled the air.
The leader was waiting and quickly flipped over, revealing his pistol as he rang three shots in the direction he thought Slug was in. However, Slug had heard the leader rustling for his gun and made a preemptive move to slide to the other side of which side the Leader rolled over to shoot. Wasting his clip into the air the bounty hunter was left defenseless laying on the ground with a gun without bullets and an aching burn in the back of his legs.
“Get up.” Slug spit to the ground as he barked orders at his injured assailant.
The rain had turned for the worse, into a torrential downpour with lightning crackling through the sky and thunder clapping in the distance. The bounty hunter struggle to get to his feet as his burned legs were barely able to support his weight and the pain of the injury was overwhelming. Slug stepped towards the man, stalking him with each splashing step he took towards him in the alley. Snatching the hunter by the neck and slamming him up against the wall Slug had pinned his opponent to the wall with his feet dangling above the ground.
“I am not committing all these crimes. I don’t know who is, but I have to find them. Tell me what you know bounty hunter!” Slug yelled through the rain as he choked the man against the wall.
The bounty hunter struggled to speak, “Ehrgggh. All the information we are getting is that it is a green alien with two antennae and a thirst for blood. You fit the description, how can it not be you?!”
Slug was growing frustrated and impatient with the situation and slammed the bounty hunter harder into the wall. “Is somebody framing me? I wasn’t even in this town until tonight, it couldn’t have possibly been me.”
The bounty hunter squealed in pain and shrieked, “Well maybe there is somebody who looks like you! Where are you from? Do you have siblings or family? How am I supposed to know?!”
Slug chuckled, “You know, you’re right. How ARE you supposed to know? Interesting though, you’ve given me a piece of information that is somewhat useful.” He tightened his grip on the hostage, causing him to wince in pain.
“What do you mean?! If I’ve given you information then spare my life!”
Slug replied, “Yes, information. Somebody that looks like me? Intriguing. I’ve been seeking answers about my heritage or race for a long time. It sounds like I am in the right place though, very interesting. Maybe whoever is committing these crimes… Eh, what am I telling you this for? Lights out sucka.” Slug abruptly finished his sentence has he crashed a head butt into his hostage’s forehead that sent a skull cracking shrill of a sound into the stormy night. Slug let go of the lifeless body as it fell to the ground, blood pouring from the destroyed head of the victim. Slug thought to himself, “Well, at least I’ve got a lead now, even though half of the world wants to crucify me for crimes I didn’t commit. These things happen, I suppose. The search continues…” Slug fixed his cloak and gathered his things as he set out to leave the city and lay low for awhile to avoid any more suspicion. All while thoughts ran through his mind, “Who is this guy that looks like me committing all these crimes? Is he my race? If we are the same race then how did we get here, and where are we from? Questions, questions, questions…And yet, still no answers…”

Just trying to stay active, followed up my Part 1 with Part 2. This one will count for today as Piccolo said my Part 1 will count for yesterday. I went all out to try and get the max word count, I want to try and catch up and just try to get into the full swing of things.
