It was another day. Bulma woke up, had breakfast, brushed her teeth, and left out for the Kame house for training. There were few clouds in the sky so there was no chance of it raining while she flew to the little island. Just in case she lost her way, Bulma was sure to pack a compass and map.
It was early morning when she set out. The sun was just up and the birds were just beginning to sing. There was not a single person out today which would help keep the young woman on task rather than helping everyone she came across.
The trip to the island was faster than she expected. When she landed on his doorstep, Master Roshi was still on his first cup of coffee.
“I’m here, everyone,” She knocked and then walked into the house shared by the two masters that lived on the island.
“I’m glad you’re here, Bulma. I lost some zenni in West city last night and couldn’t see through the dark enough to find it.”
“Now Master Roshi, don’t lie, you were mugged.”
“How could the great Master Roshi allow himself to be mugged?” Bulma asked, but something told her she already knew the answer.
“I don’t hit girls,” the old man mumbled under his breath just loud enough for Bulma to hear it.
“How honorable of you,” the sarcasm in her voice was evident as she looked from one master to the other. “I suppose you want me to fly out to west city and teach them a lesson?”
“That would be great practice,” Turtle replied.
“I guess so. But go easy on them, they’re just thugs. Really pretty thugs.”
Bulma stifled a laugh and waved goodbye as she took off for West City.
It was a quick trip, which reminded Bulma how much progress she had made at flying practice. In playing around with focusing her ki she learned how to send a blast of her energy at whatever she aimed it at. The aim had taken a while to learn.
It wasn’t hard to find the female vandals as they were hard at work bullying school kids on their way to classes. This would not stand.
Bulma landed between the vandals and the school kids. Hey you cowards, why don’t you pick on someone your own age!
“All I see is a bunch of kids and an old bag!” One of the women yelled and was backed up by the laughs of the others.
Bulma rolled her eyes, “Looking in a mirror are you? Well, never the less you took something from my master. He doesn’t hit women so you ladies took advantage of him.”
“Yeah, what you going to do about it?”
Bulma grinning and sent a ki blast above the female vandals heads. “Now that I have your attention, give me back Master Roshi’s money!”
One of the women tossed a bag of coins at Bulma’s feet. “Not worth the trouble.”
Bulma picked up the bag and counted the money. That should be it. She flew off without another word and returned to the island.
When Bulma returned to the island Master Roshi was waiting for her.
“Good job, Bulma. I will reward you with a lesson and a bit of zenni.”
“I knew you could do it.” Turtle added.
Bulma stood there and smiled. Another good deed done.
