The atmosphere was quiet, dark, dusty, and filled with stale air. The hidden cave used by Dr. Gero for his Android creations had been abandoned for an unknown time. The air tight laboratory had the parts of old experiments all over. Cables were hanging from the ceiling, air ducts dented and broken open and not to mention super computers in horrible shape. The outer walls in the observation room were filled with empty, open, exploded and occupied human-sized glass tubes. These were the docking areas for Androids pre and post-experimental operations. The tubes were ordered from the left-side down and back up on the right-side from 13-20.
The tube numbered #13 as covered in dust as the others had been but sealed tight…

“Hmm… Computer, run a diagnostic on the energy system. I want to see exactly how Android #13’s coming along.”
“Yes, Dr. Gero, computer running diagnostic on Android #13’s energy system…. Diagnostic on energy system so far has a flawed internal connection between the brain case and the 5th lumbar connection. This is complicating proper efficiency in the hip and lower extremities, slowing reaction time down 45%.”
“Agh! All right shut #13 completely down for the correction procedures.”
---
An undeleted video-file blipped in 13’s mind which brought him online. Lights flickered along with dust spraying in every direction as the tube lifted half of the glass casing. The case completed opened and revealed Android #13. He opened his eyes which were completely red. They closed for a moment and re-opened normal bright blue eyes. They twitched from left to right, up and down as if they had no control. His beginning data flowed through his optics as any computer booting from scratch however in this case just in a different way. Within a millisecond his eyes had stopped and focused straight. Android 13 blinked once and scanned to his left, blinked a second time and scanned to his right and exited the glass tube.
Not actually knowing whether he was faulty, a success or a work-in-progress he knew his mission.
“I must kill the one called Goku,” Android 13 said with a smirk.
Android 13 walked out of the observation room and into the main room with the super computer. Android 13 scanned around as he walked through the laboratory to find an Android head on the ground. It was unfortunately the head of his creator Dr. Gero. As he halted and scanned around for any hidden life-forms he spotted Gero’s body around the room keeled over.
“Now isn’t that something… My own creator was too weak to defend himself. I hope he didn’t create me the same way.”
Android 13 searched through his internal system to find out that he was indeed not complete. His energy level was down as well and all of a sudden his optics became full of static as he blacked and keeled over. Not a good start to just becoming operational for the moment. Android 13 laid on the ground no one was around to hear him fall, nor help him back up. A killer Android without power is just a hunk of metal. Despite his blackout Android 13’s internal circuitry had been active the whole time getting him up to speed and fully operational. I suppose if Dr. Gero had been alive and started 13 up he would have told him he’d shut down for a brief moment before completely coming to. Android 13 went back to his feet and frowned yet was up and running again so who really cared.
“I reckon I better get that fixed before it happens again.”
Android 13 went to work by himself and turned the hidden laboratory back on. The electricity surged through what had been connected and in decent shape. He stood in front of the super computer and gather all the “useful” information that hadn’t been uploaded to his system.
