Walking home from another long day of training, Dabura aches all over. Exhausted from the events of the day, training and work, he tilts his head up and exhales.
Ah, not too muggy, not too cool, and not too warm. Perfect.
In the air, high above him flies a strange looking blue bird going pretty fast for a regular bird.
Hmm, that’s odd. Well I guess Namekians are pretty odd as well. HAH!
Again, one of those strange birds passes him by. Almost immediately after, as if following their leader, a whole swarm of them fly by.
Shit, that’s a lot of birds.
As if embedded in their DNA the birds swoop down and begin an incredibly swift descent towards Dabura. They made no notion to each other to change flight patterns and they made no noise, they simply all turned at once.
What’s this? Ugh, no-I’m tired!
“AH!” he screamed as twin energy blasts left his eyes towards the birds, who were now close that Dabura could tell they were in fact monsters and not birds. The blast hit the creatures, somewhere in the center of the group. Some plummeted straight to the ground, their bodies scorched from the burns. The rest scattered.
“Find shiny!” Dabura heard a weak voice say. Although close enough to the swarm now that he could have IDed them in a police line-up, he just could not find a mouth on any of them.
As he thought about this perplexing little detail, he failed to see the first creature he had seen sneak up behind him and punch him in the back of the head with the little fist-like limbs that grew at the bend in their wings.
Dabura went flying through two houses and skidded to a halt in the little yard like area behind the houses.
“Good sneak attack, lil’ jit.” He said, getting up.
The creatures turned and continued to fly towards him. Leading them was the punk who got in the cheap shot.
Dabura charged up his eye beam once again, not intending to stop this time. He began firing at them, one after another, the closer they got to him, the more that fell to the ground. He was careful to avoid the punk who was able to strike him.
Once the creature was close enough to hit Dabura grabbed him as fast and savagely as he could and judo chopped the back of his neck, rendering him unconscious. After witnessing their fates to be, any of the creatures who had not been hit by the blasts, who were strong enough to get up and fly away, took off towards the moon.
Thing in hand, Dabura turned and headed towards the center of town.
“Gotcha you creep-wad!”
Slamming the doors to the local pub, “What is this little maggot?” The boozers there withdrew slightly in fear; however no one said a word. “WELL? SOMEONE NOW!” he yelled.
One flustered young lady, visibly shaking, spoke up “Well, I don’t know what they are, but they have been stealing our things. Mainly money, I think they like the shiny coins. I’ve seen them come out this one cave, but only one.”
“Can you show me?”
“I suppose so.” She replied. So, off they set, and they continued to the cave in total silence.
“Here it is, I won’t go any further.” said the girl. And with that said, she left.
Dabura looked inside; it was dark in there, but not too dark to see. And onwards he trekked into the dark, damp cave. Its air was moist and cool. It looked just like every other cave on Namek; some parts were slightly blue with hue, while some sections were green. Littered with stalactites and stalagmites Dabura expected there to be trouble around every corner, but there wasn’t.
After walking over and under giant rocks for about an hour or so, he began to see a glow in the distance. He was now convinced that the young lady who led him here was crazy for he could see an exit, and there wasn’t a thing down here.
As he got closer and closer to the light, he could see that the light was coming from the other end of a large domain through an opening ahead. When he arrived at the entrance to this massive domain was amazing. Thousands of those blue, winged creatures hanging from the ceilings like bats. Based on the energy they were emitting, he was sure they were asleep. He looked again to the light he had originally seen, and to his surprise he saw a large mound of random shiny things, he was too far away to see exactly what.
Being uber-careful not to make noise he made his way around the rocks towards the pile. What he saw when he arrived was incredible. There were all kinds of crazy things there. Lots of Zeni, scraps of metal, even a space ship. He was sure the space ship didn’t work as it was destroyed, probably from the encounter and retrieval with these weird things.
As quietly as possible Dabura collected all of the money he could. Today is my lucky day! Yee-haw! Damn this is sweeeeet!
After collecting all of the money he could find he stood up and looked towards the way he had came. Then he looked around a little bit more and noticed that there were two more entrances/exits out of the domain. However, not in the mood to explore anymore, he quietly made his way out of the cave and back home.
Hmmm, I will have to return and search the rest of the tunnels. Maybe I can start a service in which I kill those things for everyone but at a cost. Yeah, I can reap ten Zeni per head I bring back. I’ll be rich, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
word count = 975.....and i left out alot that i was originally going to include, damn this....lol
