The time machine leapt from the tiny capsule with a loud pop in the middle of Bulma's extensive lab. The blue haired scientist jumped up and down, clapping her hands in excitement. She had never seen anything like this before, and despite its dishevelled state, it was still a marvellous sight to behold.
Bulma walked around the time machine, allowing one hand to trail its fingers across the cold metal body as she gazed at it in wonder.
"Someone from my Father's company creates this in the future... fascinating! I wonder what else we're capable of making? And I get to see it!"
Her excitement was dampened by the realisation that she would be the only one left out of her friends to see it. Well, not if she could help it. That boy had come to help, he had brought medicine for Goku, perhaps there was other things from the future he could bring back to help them. That would be very helpful.
"But first..."
With determination set in her eyes, she tied her long blue hair up into a sensible bun and pulled on her lab coat before grabbing a few select tools and her clip board and climbing into the wreckage
Bulma was humming quite happily to herself as she gutted the inside of the time machine, throwing bits of melted, charred wires and twisted, blackened hunks of metal over her shoulder.
"Ah, I see what they've done there...! It is highly advanced true, but it is not so different from what we use in our space ships. Perhaps if I replace this with...hmmmm..."
She scribbled something down on her clip board, then put the pen behind her ear and scrambled out of the wreck. Already there was an oil smudge on her pale cheek and her hands were dirty, but for once she didn't seem to notice.
Opening several cupboards and over turning boxes, she finally found what she wanted. It looked like a large metal box with wires and tubes coming out of it. With a grunt, she lifted the heavy object and lugged it back inside the time machine, before scrambling back out again, grabbing more tools and then going back inside the wreck.
The sound of twisting metal and all sorts of bangs and clanks could be heard, drowning out the sound of Bulma humming a little tune.
